Singer Palak Muchhal, known for her soulful Bollywood hits, has achieved a remarkable honor that goes far beyond music. The Indore born artist has entered both the Guinness Book of World Records and the Limca Book of Records for her extraordinary humanitarian work that has saved the lives of thousands of children.

While many recognize her voice from popular songs like Kaun Tujhe, Meri Aashiqui, Chahun Main Ya Naa and more, Palak has quietly spent years dedicating her life to helping underprivileged children who cannot afford heart surgeries. Through her initiative, the Palak Palash Charitable Foundation, she has assisted in more than three thousand eight hundred life saving surgeries across India.

A large portion of Palak’s earnings from concerts goes directly into these medical interventions, turning her music into a lifeline for families in need.

How Her Humanitarian Work Began

Palak’s journey started long before she became a well known playback singer. As a young girl in Indore, she witnessed a group of hungry and barefoot children during a train journey. The moment left a deep emotional impact on her, and she silently promised herself that one day she would help children like them.

Years later, she turned that promise into action. Palak began performing concerts not for glamour or fame but to raise funds for heart surgeries. In 2013 alone, she raised more than two crore rupees and helped five hundred seventy two children receive life saving medical care. Every event, every performance became a step toward saving lives.

Recognition for Her Compassion

Her dedication soon earned her worldwide recognition. Being featured in the Guinness and Limca Record books is a rare achievement for an artist, especially one honored for humanitarian work instead of artistic milestones.

Beyond healthcare, Palak has also supported national causes. She contributed ten lakh rupees to the Gujarat earthquake relief fund and extended financial assistance to the families of Kargil martyrs.

The Support Behind Her Mission

Palak’s husband, composer and singer Mithoon, stands firmly with her. He once said, “Even if there is no show and no income, a child’s surgery will never stop.” The couple shares a vision of continuing their mission regardless of challenges.

Their combined dedication shows that compassion can be a powerful form of art.
