Directed by Imtiaz Ali and co-written with his brother Sajid Ali, the movie pays homage to an artist whose work was deemed controversial. The film portrays Chamkila as a man who found art in his surroundings, despite facing criticism and discrimination. Diljit Dosanjh delivers a standout performance as Chamkila, portraying the complexity of the character with finesse.
