Rajinikanth’s latest release Coolie is continuing its golden run at the box office. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the film has already joined the 400 crore worldwide club within its first week. In India, it has collected more than 214 crore net by day six, a massive feat that underlines Rajini’s enduring star power.

Strong Start and Steady Hold

Coolie opened with a thunderous 65 crore net on its first day and followed it with 54.75 crore on day two. The Independence Day weekend worked in its favor, adding 39.5 crore on Saturday and 35.25 crore on Sunday. Even with the weekday dip, Monday still brought in 12 crore while Tuesday clocked 8.11 crore. This brings the total India collection to 214.61 crore, making it one of the biggest openers in recent years.

Worldwide Impact

Adding international numbers, Coolie has already crossed the 400 crore mark worldwide in just six days. This makes it one of the fastest films to achieve such a milestone for Rajinikanth and marks another big success for Lokesh Kanagaraj after blockbusters like Vikram and Leo.

Competition in Sight

Coolie has not only outperformed Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR’s War 2 but is also competing with other big titles such as Saiyaara and Chhaava. The comparisons are now being drawn with Lokesh Kanagaraj’s earlier blockbusters Vikram which earned 247 crore net in India and Leo which earned 341.04 crore net. The big question is whether Coolie can surpass both to become Lokesh’s highest grosser ever.

Star Power and Audience Buzz

A major part of Coolie’s appeal lies in its massive cast. Rajinikanth dominates the screen, Nagarjuna Akkineni delivers a powerful villain role, and Aamir Khan’s cameo has been the talk of the town. Performances by Shruti Haasan, Upendra, Sathyaraj, and Soubin Shahir further elevate the film. Fans have praised the action choreography, the sleek storytelling, and Lokesh’s ability to keep the film engaging from start to finish.

The Road Ahead

With 400 crore already in the bag, all eyes are on the film’s second week to see if it can maintain its momentum. If the collections remain steady, Coolie has the potential to not only surpass Vikram and Leo but also establish itself as one of the biggest hits in Indian cinema this year.
