Bollywood’s safety concerns have resurfaced after another firing incident targeted Kapil Sharma’s café in Surrey. This marks the third attack on the comedian’s restaurant, Kap’s Café, within months. The assailants, allegedly linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, fired multiple rounds outside the establishment on Thursday, sending shockwaves through both the Indian and international entertainment communities.
The Third Attack on Kap’s Café
According to reports, multiple shots were fired outside Kap’s Café late Thursday evening. While no casualties were reported, the repeated targeting has raised questions about celebrity security and organized gang threats abroad. A video from the scene quickly went viral on social media, showing police vehicles cordoning off the area.
Following the attack, a social media post allegedly by gang member Kulvir Sidhu, also known as Goldy Dhillon, surfaced online, claiming responsibility for the firing. The post, written in Punjabi, stated that the gang had no conflict with the general public but warned individuals, including Bollywood figures, to avoid speaking against religion.
Gang’s Message to Bollywood
In the viral post, Sidhu wrote that the gang would not tolerate any statements that disrespected religion. The message included a chilling line, suggesting that “a bullet can come from anywhere, anytime” for anyone who offends religious sentiments. The statement also warned people involved in illegal dealings or those who fail to pay dues after taking money from others to stay alert.
This public threat follows previous warnings issued by the Bishnoi gang to various Bollywood celebrities, including actors who had allegedly ignored their demands. After the second attack on the café in August, the gang had warned of future actions, even mentioning that their next move could take place in Mumbai.
Previous Incidents and Growing Concerns
Kapil Sharma’s café has now been attacked three times — once in July, again in August, and most recently this October. During the first attack, around 25 rounds were reportedly fired while staff members were still inside. The restaurant had briefly shut down but reopened weeks later, only to face another violent episode.
The repeated incidents have sparked fear among fans and the entertainment community, especially after the gang’s open threats against Bollywood figures. Authorities in Canada and India are reportedly coordinating to trace those involved and prevent further incidents.
Security and Industry Reactions
Industry insiders have expressed growing concern over the rising threats faced by celebrities. Many have urged law enforcement agencies to step up international coordination to protect Indian public figures who have businesses or homes abroad.
The repeated targeting of Kapil Sharma’s café underscores how crime networks are expanding their reach beyond borders, using online platforms to amplify threats and spread fear.
