Lee Chae Min, the fast-rising K-drama heartthrob who recently gained immense popularity for his role in Bon Appetit, Your Majesty, has expressed his excitement about reuniting with his Crushology 101 co-stars Roh Jeong Eui and Jo Joon Young. In an exclusive interview, the trio opened up about their strong bond on and off screen and their hopes of working together again in the near future.

Lee Chae Min’s Meteoric Rise

Having stepped in to save a major production after the original male lead faced controversy, Lee Chae Min impressed both fans and industry insiders with his dedication and versatility. His portrayal of a “tyrant” king in Bon Appetit, Your Majesty not only showcased his acting depth but also marked a turning point in his career.

Before that, Chae Min had already captured hearts in Hierarchy, Crash Course in Romance, and Crushology 101, the coming-of-age romantic drama that became a fan favourite earlier this year. At just 25, his career is soaring with each performance, making him one of South Korea’s most promising young talents.

The Bond Behind Crushology 101

During the interview, Lee Chae Min and his co-stars reminisced about the comfort of working with actors around their own age. Having collaborated before on other projects, the chemistry among the trio was evident. Chae Min shared, “We communicated better because there was less pressure when we gave opinions, so the scenes came out naturally. If we get the chance to work together again, I’d love to explore any genre with them.”

Roh Jeong Eui, who previously starred alongside Chae Min in Hierarchy and Jo Joon Young in Dear M, recalled their friendly on-set atmosphere. “I once joked with Chae Min that if we reunite in the future, we should play grandparents,” she laughed. She also mentioned her interest in taking on roles where love continues across different stories, adding, “It might be interesting to act as the youngest newcomers together again.”

Jo Joon Young’s Genre Wish

Jo Joon Young, another rising actor in the K-drama industry, revealed that while he enjoyed the lighthearted charm of Crushology 101, he would love to reunite with his co-stars for an action project next. “Since we already have great chemistry, I think we could pull off a strong and exciting action series,” he said.

Having worked previously with both Roh Jeong Eui and Lee Chae Min, Jo spoke fondly of their teamwork. “We had so much fun together. The relaxed environment helped bring out our best performances,” he shared.

Roh Jeong Eui’s Steady Ascent

At just 24, Roh Jeong Eui continues to prove her talent and range. With back-to-back roles in The Witch, Crushology 101, and upcoming dramas Pigpen and Our Universe, she’s carving her own space among the new generation of K-drama leads. She reflected, “Each project has taught me something new. I’ve learned that love, pain, and joy are universal no matter who you are or where you come from.”

Roh also hinted at her growing interest in experimenting with genres like romantic comedies and thrillers, showing fans that there’s much more to expect from her in the future.

Fans Eager for a Reunion

The trio’s camaraderie, evident both on-screen and off, has sparked fan demand for a Crushology 101 reunion. Social media buzz continues to grow around the idea of them returning for a fresh project—perhaps in an action or fantasy setup, as Jo Joon Young suggested.

With their combined charm, talent, and fan following, a reunion could easily become one of the most anticipated K-dramas of the coming year.
