As per reports, the two filed the divorce in Chennai court, under section 13B, which states regulations for divorce by mutual consent.
The actor had parted ways with his wife in early January of 2022. The two had been living separately since.
Aishwarya also posted a similar message on her social media platform. Both Dhanush and Aishwarya requested privacy as they navigated through their separation.
Dhanush and Aishwarya tied the knot in a lavish wedding ceremony in 2004 when they were 21 and 23 years old, respectively. They are blessed with two sons, Yatra and Linga.
Following their separation, both Dhanush and Aishwarya have focused on their careers. Aishwarya marked her directorial comeback with 'Lal Salaam', which featured Rajinikanth in a significant cameo role. Dhanush also showed support for the film.
