Shah Rukh Khan, who was recently back in action with a series of high-octane roles, has reportedly suffered an injury during the shoot of his upcoming film King. According to Filmfare and other Bollywood media outlets, the actor was filming an intense action sequence at Mumbai’s Golden Tobacco Studio when the incident occurred. While the injury is not life-threatening, sources close to the production reveal that SRK has injured multiple muscles and has been advised a full month of rest.

Reports suggest that the actor and his team have flown to the US for precautionary medical care, although no official statement has been released from his camp so far. In the meantime, scheduled shoots at Film City and YRF Studios have reportedly been cancelled until further notice. Production will likely resume once SRK recovers fully.

King, directed by Siddharth Anand, is one of the most anticipated Bollywood releases of 2026. Reuniting Shah Rukh Khan with Deepika Padukone after their blockbuster success in Pathaan, the film is described as a gritty action thriller centered on a mentor-disciple relationship. Also part of the star-studded cast are Abhishek Bachchan, Rani Mukerji, Jaideep Ahlawat, Anil Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, and Jackie Shroff.

The story promises to take viewers on a perilous journey of survival, betrayal, and extreme endurance. The film marks an important comeback for SRK post Dunki, and fans have been eagerly waiting to see the actor back in a full-blown action role. Given the film's ambitious scale and ensemble cast, King is positioned as one of the biggest cinematic events of 2026.

While the unexpected pause may delay the production schedule, fans are hopeful that SRK will make a strong recovery and return to the set soon. His dedication to action roles in recent years has reminded audiences of his unmatched screen presence and charisma, and King is expected to push those boundaries even further.
