A Big Reveal at Thamma Trailer Launch

At the trailer launch of Maddock’s upcoming film Thamma, Shraddha Kapoor made a special announcement that left fans of the horror comedy franchise excited. She revealed that Maddock Films is all set to release Chhoti Stree, an animated theatrical film. Directed towards children, families, and franchise fans alike, the film will add a new dimension to the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe.

Shraddha expressed her enthusiasm saying that this was her favorite part of the universe and praised producer Dinesh Vijan for his vision. “It really feels amazing to be a part of this universe. With Chhoti Stree, audiences are going to have a blast,” she said.

Dinesh Vijan Reveals a Unique Connection to Stree 3

Producer Dinesh Vijan offered more details about Chhoti Stree. He confirmed that the animated feature will not only serve as a standalone film but also lead directly into Stree 3. The film will end with a live action sequence from Stree 3, revealing the much awaited backstory of the mysterious Stree. The animated movie is expected to release six months before the third installment.

Vijan also unveiled the official logo of the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe, marking a milestone for the production house as it cements its identity with hits like Stree, Bhediya, Munjya and now the upcoming Thamma.

Shraddha Kapoor on India’s Own Horror Comedy Universe

Shraddha Kapoor highlighted how Maddock’s films have created an indigenous cinematic space rooted in Indian culture and folklore. “We want to make films that are truly ours. With Chhoti Stree and the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe, audiences are validating this vision. We don’t need to look at other universes anymore, we have our very own desi horror comedy universe,” she said.

The Road Ahead with Thamma and Beyond

While Chhoti Stree and Stree 3 have created massive buzz, Maddock is also gearing up for the release of Thamma this Diwali. The film stars Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna, Paresh Rawal, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui and is directed by Aditya Sarpotdar of Munjya fame. With this slate of films, Maddock seems set to expand its horror comedy universe further, offering audiences a mix of laughter, fear, and uniquely Indian storytelling.
