War 2, the sixth film in YRF’s Spy Universe, has had a rollercoaster ride since its release. This surge means War 2 has officially beaten Ek Tha Tiger’s worldwide total of ₹321 crore, ensuring that it is no longer the lowest earner in the Spy Universe. While it still trails behind big names like Tiger 3 and Pathaan, this turnaround gives the film much-needed stability.
Weekend Boost and Audience Response
The film’s second weekend was crucial. War 2 witnessed a 55 percent jump in collections on its second Saturday, earning ₹6.25 crore, up from ₹4 crore on Friday. This boost kept it afloat despite the mixed to negative reviews that pointed out its weak screenplay and average visual effects. Critics, however, praised the high-octane action, Hrithik and Jr NTR’s performances, and the film’s stylish presentation.
