Lionsgate Picks Up Small Things Like These

"Small Things Like These," starring Cillian Murphy, is co-produced by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon’s company, Artists Equity. This film is also special because it marks Murphy’s debut as a producer through his company, Big Things Films, which he started with his friend Alan Maloney. Lionsgate will distribute the film in the US, UK, and Ireland. However, it's still unclear if it will be available on Lionsgate Play.

About the Film

Based on Claire Keegan’s Booker Prize-nominated book, "Small Things Like These" is set in 1980s Ireland. Murphy plays Bill, a coal delivery driver who is quiet and a loving father. He discovers some disturbing events at a local convent, led by Sister Mary, played by Emily Watson. The film delves into dark themes as Bill faces his inner demons. Emily Watson’s performance even won the Silver Bear award at the Berlinale festival.
