Kiran Abbavaram has built his space in Telugu cinema with a string of grounded, relatable roles. But this Diwali, he is switching gears in a big way with “K-RAMP,” a film that introduces him as the richest chiller guy with both flair and fire. Jointly produced by Rajesh Danda and Shiva Bommakku under the banners of Hasya Movies and Rudramsh Celluloid, the movie is helmed by debutant director Jains Nani. It is now officially scheduled for a grand theatrical release on October 18, riding the festive wave of Diwali with mass appeal and youthful energy.
The makers have just dropped a glimpse titled “The Richest Chiller Guy,” and the video is already turning heads. Kiran plays Kumar, a laid-back youngster who oozes attitude without trying too hard. He dances, jokes, and delivers with effortless mass swag. But behind that cool exterior lies a sharp, perceptive voice. The one-liner that has everyone talking comes mid-glimpse, when he says, “We watch Malayalam love stories in AMB and make them hits, but we have a problem with Telugu love stories. The authenticity in those films is often missing in ours. Yet, we still wish for love to feel real…”
It’s a line that’s doing more than just entertain. It’s resonating. It reflects the dilemma of a generation raised on cinema but hungry for honesty. With one scene, Kiran’s Kumar becomes not just the chillest guy in the frame, but also the most quietly aware.
The glimpse also offers a peek into a vibrant world packed with slick visuals, catchy music, and full-on commercial energy. Yukti Thareja stars as the female lead, while the ensemble cast features seasoned talents like Naresh, Sai Kumar, and the ever-funny Vennela Kishore, setting the stage for a film that mixes youthful charm with veteran power.
The film’s music is composed by Chetan Bharadwaj, with cinematography by Satish Reddy Masam. The production design, action, and editing are being handled by Brahma Kadali, Prithvi, and Chota K Prasad respectively, rounding off a solid technical crew that knows how to balance style with substance.
From the look of it, “K-RAMP” is not just a celebration of chill, it’s a call for content that’s real and resonant. With punchlines, music, emotion, and a Diwali release date, it could turn out to be the sleeper crowd-pleaser of the festive season.
