According to box office tracker Sacnilk, Mirai collected Rs 17.33 crore on Sunday, its third day in theatres, surpassing Saturday’s numbers and proving the power of strong word-of-mouth. The opening day brought in Rs 13 crore, followed by Rs 15 crore on Saturday, taking the film’s total to Rs 45.33 crore in just three days.

Better Than HanuMan

With a Hindi occupancy rate of over 31 per cent on Sunday, the film is already performing better than Teja Sajja’s earlier blockbuster HanuMan, which earned Rs 16 crore on its third day. Trade analysts suggest that the pace at which Mirai is growing indicates it has the potential to become one of the year’s biggest fantasy action hits.

Overseas Success

Mirai is not only dominating in India but also performing remarkably well in international markets. In North America alone, the film grossed 1.34 million dollars across its opening weekend, with collections showing an 18 per cent jump between Friday and Sunday. The film earned Rs 8.25 crore internationally on its first day and touched Rs 18 crore overseas by the end of day two. The overseas buzz, coupled with strong domestic numbers, has given Mirai a global edge.

The Story of Mirai

The fantasy epic revolves around Vedha, played by Teja Sajja, a young man destined to become a super Yodha who must stop his enemy Mahabir Lama, also known as the Black Sword, from gathering nine powerful grandhas left behind by Emperor Ashoka. Mahabir’s quest for ultimate power forces Vedha to embark on his own mission to find Mirai, a divine weapon once used by Lord Ram. This gripping storyline blends mythology, fantasy, and action to deliver a visually stunning spectacle.
